About Us

Ronald L Jones Funeral Chapels, was founded originally as the Ronald L Jones Mortuary, 5541 Riverview Blvd., in 1976. However, in 1990, we changed our name and location to Ronald L Jones Funeral Chapels, 6175 Delmar Blvd. and remained there for fourteen years. Then, in January 2004, we opened our doors at our present location, 2161 East Fair Avenue in North St. Louis, with hope that we could better serve the people of the City of St. Louis. In, light of the fact that most of our major funeral homes have moved to the county. Thus, leaving a shortage of funeral homes to serve the inner City residents.

This is when God gave me the vision to create a funeral home that would be as comfortable when families were visiting us at our chapel as they would be in their own home. Our funeral home has been designed and decorated to be comfortable, inviting, and accessible. There is ample parking, a traditional style chapel with beautiful solid oak pews....with constant improvements being made. We, further feel that sometimes it's the little things that makes a difference. So, we have a unique and tasteful collection of art and antiques throughout out chapel.

Most importantly, our funeral home is staffed by caring professionals. Who are committed to taking care of every detail on our families behalf in keeping with their own traditions and financial means.

The Ronald L Jones Funeral Chapels has seen a growth in business in the past two and a half years at our present location. Our business has increased from doing one hundred and twenty five cases per year to over four hundred cases per year. This has created new jobs for over twenty full-time as well as part-time.

Last, but not least Ronald L. Jones Funeral Chapels is a community based funeral home. Which strives to meet the challenges as well as the needs of the community. Thus, allowing many of the local organizations to utilize our facility without charge or obligation as a place for meeting. This includes organizations such as the Montford Point Marine Corps Association, the Neighborhood Watch Program, the Neighborhood Block Unit, the Sumner High School Reunion Group and the St. John's M. B. Church (they use our chapel on Sundays for worship since their church burned).
